John C. Stroh II attended high school in Fort Morgan and entered Colorado State University in 1969. Following John’s graduation from college, he became a licensed real estate broker in the State of Colorado in 1976. During these years, he also worked for his father’s ranch until he and his wife returned to the real estate business full time in 1986. At that time, John became a branch office for Peterson Agri-Management Company of Denver, Colorado where he performed agricultural property management services as the primary activity with appraisals, consulting, and brokerage being secondary. During this time, John managed close to 41 properties from southeastern Colorado to northwestern Colorado, most of which were livestock oriented and required extensive fencing, corral building, and improvements.

As well as the real estate brokerage including sales, property management and consulting, John has been performing real estate appraisals since being awarded his certified general appraisal license in 1991. John then went on to perform over 1,000 real estate appraisals in the sixteen years he held his license but decided not to renew the appraiser’s license after 2010. From 1990-2016, he and his wife owned and operated Southern Colorado Land & Livestock Company, Inc. doing real estate brokerage, property management, appraisals, and consulting full time. With the extensive experience John received during his years in the real estate and farm and ranch management fields, you can be confident that John will assist you professionally in the sale of your own property. Stroh and his wife are members of the United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, and The American Highland Cattle Association.

Stroh purchased Southern Colorado Land and Livestock in 1976. After 40 years of service, the doors were closed and he affiliated himself with his longtime friend and associate, Gene Cruikshank of Cruikshank Realty, Inc. of Lamar. Gene and John decide to merge their skills to serve their clients more efficiently.
