The Lamar Colorado Region
Our lifelong presence in the region of Lamar, Colorado gives us great insight into area real estate and property. Our Colorado auction company may be in Lamar, but we travel around the area to buy and sell property, to evaluate properties, and to hold auctions. It pays to study the natural resources of the prairie and the plains. It is beautiful country and demands respect.
Let’s look at inherent value. Geography in the prairies north of us and in the plains where Lamar is located supports native species. It’s true that native gardening on the Eastern Plains will be very low maintenance. Ranches, for instance, often feature native trees and grasses that require little water.
But to introduce other species, it may take some knowhow. Farmers select crops that thrive in the climate and with the available amount of rain and irrigation. In our region receives an average of 10 to 20 inches of precipitation annually.
Buyers at auction need good information to make informed decisions. They may ask about other water sources, including nearby streams, ponds, irrigation canals. They need to know soil composition and quality and what they may be able to produce on the land. Depending on your purposes, we can help guide you towards your goals.
