The Feeding Operation
There are two on-site working wells in the feed yard with a total pumping capacity of 180 gpm. They are about 865 feet deep with the static water level of 470 feet. In addition, there is a third nonoperating well on the land. The water comes from the wells and fills 350 300+/minus gallon storage tanks and then pressure pumped to continuous flow water systems in the pens. Auxiliary storage tanks and pressure tanks are also available.
In addition, the feed yard accesses two certified lagoons. They meet or exceed the CAFO Permit requirements. One is onsite and the other across the county road.
Two Residences
Set up to start at once, this large Lamar farm features two employee houses. Near the pens, a wood frame residence supplies three bedrooms and one bath. It has approximately 1500 square feet of living area and a 1000-square-foot unfinished basement. Also, near the pens, a 1046 square foot residence supplies another two bedrooms and one bath.
